DESCRIPTION: Deckhand Electric Anchor winch 40Lbs
FEATURES & ATRIBUTES:
– 40 lbs. anchor capacity. Pre-spooled with 100 feet of 800 lbs. test nylon rope.
– Universal davit can be mounted at base of DeckHand or in remote position on boat deck; stows anchor horizontally to eliminate anchor swing.
– Anchor shackle allows for quick changes between anchors.
– Stow and deploy switch integrated into base of the unit.
– A special anti-drag system senses the bottom to allow for controlled drifting.
– Compatible with DeckHand 40 Remote Switch (sold separately).
– 12 volt battery operation.

The item is strong and sturdy.

Works great in combination with a 30 lb. anchor. This unit is the real deal. It is heavy-duty and the motor is strong. I installed it myself in about 1 hour. The hardest part of the job was getting up the nerve to drill the first hole (and eventually 3 more) on the front of my boat. Suggestion: Read all the instructions carefully and then decide where you want it. Next, set it in carefully into position, double or triple check your clearances as the anchor travels up and down, measure everything three times and drill the hole. After the first hole you can’t turn back so it gets easier.
