– CMC Electric Hydraulic Tilt and Trim
– Includes: Hydraulic Trim, harness and switch.
– Does not include mounting bolts.
FEATURES:

IMPORTANT FITTING NOTE:
– The inside dimension of the motor mounting area of the PT-35 is 11 inches. Before ordering, please make sure that the maximum width of the clamp mounting feet and/or mounting bolts of the motor fit into this area.
– In other words: the pre-drilled holes of the mounting bolts are 11″ center to center. If client is mounting the engine using the stock clamp bolts the distance between center to center must be less than 11″ as well.
– Mounting bolts are not included with the PT-35.

I use this tilt in fresh water on a pontoon boat with a 4.5 HP electric motor weighing about 70 lbs. The boat with this tilt was purchased new in 2004. In 2010 I had to replace the tilt as it stopped working. In 2014 that tilt stopped working and I just ordered another one. The unit cannot be repaired. If I could have found a competitive product, I would have ordered it. The boat is used seasonally in calm water. I guess in 5 years I will be ordering another tilt.

good quality stainless steel and fairly easy to install. Mostly positive with the tilt and trim so far only draw back ( if there is a one) is it doesn’t have a automatic stop when lifting the motor or when in place. But not a big issue for me.

It is exactly what I needed for my Mercury 20HP 4-stroke. It works great! I was able to tie it in to the existing trim switch on the throttle/gear lever. This allowed me to use the toggle switch that came with the unit back near the motor for tilting it up when putting the transom saver in place!

I would have given it 5 stars if a mounting template was included. I spent a lot of time making a template because it is very important to get the unit centered and level on the boats transom. The hole pattern does not match any outboard motors that I am aware of, thus rendering my templates for motors useless. The unit itself is well built and functions as it should.

I installed the trim unit on my 14’ Mirrocraft with a tiller operated 25 hp Mercury. The installation on the transom was fairly easy. The wiring was another story. There is way too much wiring for the installation of the switch at the transom. Shortening the wiring was completed with a few minor hiccups. The cable from the relays was another story… the sheath on the cable was molded around the wires which made shortening the cable a challenge to avoid nicking the wires. I suggest the manufacture provide a kit for rear-mounted switch control. All in all I am very pleased with the outcome.
