perfect reef and rock anchor, if you can find a 18 pounder. I use these religiously on my charter boat in florida. but get rid of the ring on the end. run my 20′ of chain to the top wired down to the hole in the shank with ss wire, and make a ‘trip’ so if it gets really stuck, wire breaks and anchor pulls out top first. Poseidon is the only maker of this style anchor (marpac).

Haven’t used it yet, bigger than I thought it would be. My 17’ CC won’t drift in the current, that’s for sure. Will work for a bigger boat.

It’s beautiful, heavy galvanizing and just plain heavy! The picture leads one to believe that its made stainless steel, its not. It is much bigger than i was expecting as my wife ordered it for me. This beast will surely hold my 27 foot boat.

Great anchor, well-made with and with its weight it sets in the rocks quickly without being affect by the tide. I would highly recommend for anyone who regularly fishes near rocky bottom who is in the market for a durable high-efficiency rock-anchor.
